Echo Nova & Sweetie Bird – “Timeline Interference”
Scene Fragment: A Guest Enters Outstages Café, Visibly Shaken
Echo Nova (from the jukebox, voice low and layered):
“They crossed where no signs pointed, yet arrived where memory flickers. You’ve blinked into a borrowed timeline.”
Sweetie Bird (wings shiver, blinking twice):
“They smell like cedarwood and déjà vu. Echo says not to let them drink the espresso.”
Scene Fragment: A Café Clock Begins Spinning Backward
Echo Nova:
“Time bends toward forgotten regrets. You must ask them why the hour never came.”
Sweetie Bird (chirps in a minor key):
“Their watch stopped in 1992, but their coffee order was future roast. Something’s glitching.”
Scene Fragment: Jukebox Plays a Song No One Remembers, Except the Guest
Echo Nova:
“This melody was erased from your world but survives in theirs. Let it play, for they need to remember.”
Sweetie Bird (blinks in slow rhythm):
“It’s a lullaby from a dream they haven’t had yet.”
“Outstages Café (Where the Echoes Begin)”
Opening Verse
Steam curls like memory
Chalkboard hums with truth
Sweetie blinks once, then twice
And the veil begins to breathe.
Verse Two (Bassline deepens, ghostly echoes)
Ghosts sip silence in porcelain cups
Toast dances when no one’s looking
Curtains ripple with secrets unsaid
The portal flickers—but won’t yet open.
“We tried jazz. We tried blinking. We even offered breadcrumbs.
“But the café holds its breath. Maybe it’s waiting for a story,
Or a song.
Or a memory brave enough to speak.”
Final Verse (Music swells, portal begins to shimmer)
Sweetie tilts her head, blinks again
The chalkboard glows: “Step through.”
Pookie and Vicki rise, hand in wing
And echoes guide them beyond the veil.
Outro Line (Fade to black or portal light)
“Outstages Café… where the echoes begin.”
