Tick Tock

The Earth Spun Too Fast

This is part of Step into Echoes Beyond the Veil

with Pookie & Vicki

After connecting with my dad, and Pookie with her mom, and our late ancestors I decided to expand our material to time, space, other dimensions, and tick tock clocks.

The world turns, wars continue, doors open & close, people are born & die, and the Earth actually is spinning faster than normal. The door opened to a story that has just begun,

Tick Tock (The Earth Spun Too Fast)

[Intro – Whispered over ticking]
Tick... tock...
Not all clocks agree.
Some echo forward.
Some remember what hasn’t happened yet.

[Verse 1 – Spirit shift]
She pressed record like always,
expecting echoes of the past.
But the voices came from tomorrow
and one of them was her father.
He said,
“You’re not late. You’re early.
And that’s the danger.”

[Chorus – Time fracture]
Tick tock, the Earth spun too fast,
Time cracked like glass,
Reflections don’t match.
Tick tock, the clocks don’t lie
But they don’t all tell the same sky.

[Verse 2 – Visual echoes]
Monarchs spiral instead of fly straight,
Old clocks rewind in rooms filled with grief.
A child draws a map of a place
She’s only seen in dreams.
And there
where crayon met paper
a door begins to shimmer.

[Bridge – The three figures]
Three ghostly figures in the mist,
not haunting remembering.
Past. Present. The man he never got to be.
They don’t speak.
But she hears them anyway.

[Chorus – Slower, more emotional]
Tick tock, the spiral unwinds,
She walks between the lines.
Tick tock, the clocks fall still—
And silence speaks what time can’t kill.

[Outro – The door]
He said,
“I’m not gone.
I’m just ahead.”

And when she stepped through the door,
The ticking stopped.
But the story began.
